I have been reading about and looking forward to the London Summer Olympics this July, and I believe that some things could be done to improve the quality of the games. For one thing, they could lose a few sports and add a few new ones. Some sports I believe they could do away with are Race Walking, Dressage/Horse Dancing, and Synchronized Diving. These sports, while they do necessitate skill and exercise, are downright odd. Some sports that should be added are Ultimate (Frisbee) and Cricket(twenty20). While Cricket is popular around the world, ultimate Frisbee is played mostly only in the US and western Europe, making it more of a stretch. However, both sports could use the following boost that would accompany a spot in the Olympic games.

Obama on Same-Sex Marriage

When President Obama announced on live television that he supported Same-Sex Marriage, I was happily surprised. I think that while this might bring him trouble during the presidential election, it was the right thing to do. I think that People who do not support same-sex marriage should not marry someone who is of the same sex. As simplistic as that may sound, I believe that it is one of the only ways to resolve the issue.
